Many years ago I used to do vehicle art in 3D studio Max, Vray and Photoshop. I never pursued it seriously, but it’s always been like a sweet hobby since the first day I modeled a 3D car in 3Dsmax 2.0 in Windows 98, with my Winamp loaded with good stuff.
I do pick it up time to time to create something if I feel like I have the ability to pull off the idea. I’m grateful I got to work with some lovely clients for some interesting gigs.
The cover art I did for 3D World Magazine, Xmas 2014 issue. I wrote a 4 page tutorial of rendering this Lamborghini using Vray and a quick post-process in Photoshop.
Inspired by the love of Burnout, made this crashed Audi that a company in Chicago later picked up for some car safety billboards. Love the irony.
Having fun with HDRI lighting in this one.
Another shiny render for this elegant form.
A quick render of the Desert Warrior rally car I worked with RallyRaidUK.
An about to crash F1. Did this one for the Hot Wheels movie pitch material.
A clean SLS for the sake of having shiny renders. 3D world magazine later featured this.
A desert render of the upgraded Landrover LRX model I did way back, and was asked from a rally studio in UK to facelift it for their pitch material to secure funds for the project. I helped with imagining this model as a rally model by rendering 6 pieces total. It got featured in Top Gear too!
A quick snowy render of this Ferrari. I added (removed?) snow shader in post in Photoshop.
These ones were always fun: quick render in 3d and tons of fun in Photoshop.
Sunlight and extreme heat.
